Toddler Program

2 years 9 months – 3 years old class

During their daily Circle Time, the children discuss the calendar as well as introduce the days of the week. Their teacher reads them stories, which they discuss afterwards to build reading comprehension. They sing songs and do finger plays. They count numbers and review the alphabet. They also gain valuable verbal skills by having an individual sharing time each week.

They also participate in daily art projects, which include both crafts and free art based activities on their thematic unit. Art time gives them a creative outlet and helps to perfect their fine motor skills. They also have music and movement activities every day.

Some of the concepts that they work on include, but are not limited to the alphabet, shapes, colors, numbers, letter writing, simple words, predictions, math, manners, and science.

Most of their curriculum revolves around thematic units that change with the seasons and holidays.

Pre-Kindergarten Program

4-5 years old class

Our Pre-Kindergarten includes four and five-year olds. Our teachers, Mrs. Joanne, Mrs. Lily and Miss Angie include fun elements in an academically challenging classroom environment.

During their daily circle-time the children are introduced to the calendar and the days of the week. Their teacher reads them stories, which they discuss afterwards to build reading comprehension. They sing learning songs and use movement for kinesthetic learners. They count
and learn math through true one-to-one correspondence. They review the alphabet and get deeper into phonics, as well as gaining valuable verbal skills by having an individual sharing time each
week.

Additional activities include arts and crafts based on their thematic unit. Art time gives them a creative outlet and helps to perfect their fine motor skills. Music and movement activities will also be a part of their activities for enrichment, physical activity, and fun.
